Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Technical and Projects Manager to join a leading housing provider. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technical professional to oversee complex repairs, refurbishment projects and quality assurance, ensuring works are delivered safely, to a high standard and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities of the Technical and Projects Manager:
Undertake technical inspections, pre and post inspections, and quality assurance checks across repairs, voids and refurbishment works
Provide clerk of works oversight, ensuring contractor workmanship meets specifications and quality standards
Prepare scopes of work, specifications, schedules and technical reports
Manage complex repairs, disrepair cases, damp and mould investigations, and insurance-related works
Monitor contractor performance, programme delivery, health and safety compliance, and value for money
Identify defects and technical issues, ensuring they are resolved efficiently
Coordinate minor projects and refurbishment works from inception through to completion
Attend site meetings, contractor meetings and project reviews, providing technical guidance and progress updates
Ensure works comply with CDM Regulations, health and safety legislation, and organisational procedures
Work collaboratively with internal teams, consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality property services
Essential Experience of the Technical and Projects Manager:
Experience within a technical surveying, clerk of works, repairs inspection or construction quality assurance role
Strong knowledge of residential building construction, building pathology and diagnosing property defects
Experience preparing specifications, scopes of work and technical reports
Experience overseeing contractors and ensuring works are completed to specification
Knowledge of responsive repairs, voids, refurbishment works and minor projects
Experience managing complex repairs, damp and mould, disrepair or specialist property inspections
Good understanding of CDM Regulations, health and safety legislation and contractor management
Relevant qualification in Building Surveying, Construction, Property or a related discipline
Full UK Driving Licence
